Jerry Carlson
Energy Maintenance Operation Coordinator
Jerry Carlson started his maintenance career in 1962 with the US military, where he received training on heavy equipment, cranes, road graders, dozers, scrapers, semi tractors, and smaller vehicles. He was in the service for two years.
After leaving the military Jerry worked in the construction field for 10 years, maintaining heavy-duty construction equipment. In 1974 he started to work for Energy West Mining Company and worked there for 25 years in a maintenance management role. Jerry managed the maintenance and servicing of underground and surface equipment, and maintained equipment in a manner to meet all federal and state safety requirements.
He also managed various systems associated with mining operations such as water treatment plants, high-pressure pumping systems, electrical systems, and large ventilation fans.
Jerry retired from Energy West in 1998 and from 1998 to 2006 he had been designing, purchasing and installing solar power systems.
Jerry has been married for 38 years and has seven children, 18 grandchildren, 1 great grand child.
