Energy Industry Maintenance Operator Apprenticeship

(3 year 6000 hours)


Energy Industry Maintenance Operator program is designed to be a program to develop new workers for technical careers in industries such as: raw material extraction, power generation, construction, and oil/gas production. The program can be utilized by industry as an "in-house" apprenticeship governed and sanction by the federal bureau of apprenticeships and the department of labor. Students will work 6000 hours on-the-job (OJT) during the program in conjunction with operations and maintenance in coal mines, power plants, construction sites, transportation, heavy equipment operation and energy processing plants. The program will be designed as a 6000 hour on-the-job training program with associated course work that would lead to a certificate of completion.
