The Western Energy Training Center is a resource for existing and prospective employees of the energy industry. With our center in Eastern Utah, we will be helping to develop the skills and technical expertise needed for the 21st century and the growing demand for energy industry workers.
The launch of the Western Energy Training Center represents a culmination of efforts and the collaboration of public institutions at the federal, state, and local levels, as well as the critical support of the energy industry in Eastern Utah.
WETC was funded in part by a grant awarded under the President's High Growth Job Training Initiative, as implemented by the U.S. Department of Labor's Employment and Training Administration.
The Board of Directors that is driving the current efforts to develop WETC consists of key figures from local energy sectors, together with a representative from each of the following entities: College Of Eastern Utah, Southeast Applied Technology College, Workforce Services, and Vocational Rehabilitation Services.
We are located at 847 North Hwy 191 in Helper, Utah. Click here for a map. (PDF)
